Our Board of Directors

The SCSIT Board of Directors, the highest governing body of the school, works to ensure that the students in our schools receive the best education possible. The board regularly meets to make decisions regarding school policies, budget allocations, and educational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

The board is responsible for strategic planning and oversight of the CEO or president. Under the board chair’s leadership, the board members offer advice and counsel to the president. As the school’s final authority, the board members make all legal and fiduciary decisions, although they may delegate some specific powers and duties to others.

The board is responsible for developing and endorsing the school’s mission, approving strategic goals and objectives, and establishing policies related to programs and services. It approves the annual budget and sets major program fees.
